Abstract

The transition to a green economy has emerged as a pivotal global trend, especially in the service sector, where environmental sustainability, efficient resource use, and innovation are increasingly shaping operations. This study aims to explore how green economy principles are being implemented across various segments of the service sector-including tourism, healthcare, education, transport, and finance-and assess their impact on sustainability and economic performance. Despite existing research, a significant knowledge gap remains in understanding the measurable benefits and challenges of integrating green practices into service sector enterprises in developing economies, particularly Uzbekistan. Utilizing analytical, comparative, and quantitative research methods, this study evaluates data from existing case studies and national policy frameworks. Findings reveal that green innovations, such as digital transformation, renewable energy adoption, and waste reduction, not only enhance environmental outcomes but also improve competitiveness and economic resilience. The results suggest that green economy initiatives drive systemic improvements in service delivery, job creation, and long-term profitability. The implications point toward a pressing need for stronger policy support, private sector collaboration, and investments in environmental education and infrastructure. These findings contribute to the global discourse on sustainable development and offer strategic insights for policymakers and service-based enterprises in transitioning economies.
