Abstract

Today, constitutional reforms are being implemented in Uzbekistan, one of the main tasks of which is the implementation of the principles «for the honor and dignity of man» and «man – society – state».

This task is inextricably linked with strengthening the constitutional and legal foundations of a fair and open civil society, increasing the role and status of its institutions. In the XXI century alone, within the framework of the UN, OSCE, EU, SCO, CIS and other international structures, more than 50 international legal documents were adopted concerning the enhancement of the role and importance of civil society institutions (CSI), their involvement in the processes of governance of the state and society, the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In this article we analyze the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as increasing the role and importance of CSI, their involvement in the processes of achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
