The article reveals the correlation of two key trends of modernity – globalization and modernization; examines their interrelation and contradictions; analyzes the impact of the processes of globalization and modernization on the culture and social life of society. Shows problems and contradictions of globalization and modernization. At the same time, it reveals the essence of modern society.
