Handicraft businesses in Nigeria: challenges facing promotion of products

A review of relevant literatures revealed that there is more closure of small handcraft businesses in Nigeria than their birth as a result of low patronage and poor promotion strategies by craft persons in the industry, very little empirical research have been done, up to date, to reveal the actual causes of this phenomenon. In an attempt to fill the gap in the literature, therefore, this paper seeks to explain the characteristics and challenges facing handcraft business promotion in Nigeria. And proffer solution to promoting handcraft businesses in Nigeria.
