Integrating Indian Classical Music into 21st Century Education: A Multidisciplinary Approach Inspired by NEP 2020

Abstract

This paper explores the integration of Indian Classical Music (ICM) into 21st-century education, inspired by the multidisciplinary approach of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. ICM, with its rich cultural heritage and philosophical underpinnings, offers a unique opportunity to foster holistic learning, cognitive development, and emotional intelligence in students. By incorporating ICM into the curriculum, educators can create a more inclusive, creative, and culturally relevant learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles and promotes academic excellence.
